We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Technical Support & Repair Technician to take responsibility for the technical support, repair, maintenance, and configuration of our Toshiba Tec barcode printer portfolio, while also supporting repair and technical service requirements across the wider Instacom and GoRugged hardware portfolio. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical specialist for Toshiba barcode printing solutions and will also provide technical repair, troubleshooting, installations, and customer support across various enterprise hardware devices including barcode scanners, rugged devices, tablets, mobile computers, and communication hardware. This is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring strong troubleshooting ability, hardware repair experience, and a solid understanding of enterprise mobility and Auto ID technologies.
This position is located in Centurion and is a Permanent employment offer.
BASIC DUTIES
  • Technical Repairs & Diagnostics, maintaining repair turnaround time in accordance with service standards
  • Provide Technical support to customers via phone, email and remote troubleshooting
  • Installation & Configuration of barcode printers and related hardware at customer sites where required
  • Perform preventative maintenance on customer hardware
  • Become the internal technical specialist of the Toshiba Tec printer ranges
  • Maintain strong technical understanding of all supported hardware products
MINIMUM SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Technical qualification in Electronics, IT, Engineering, Networking or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years technical experience in the Auto ID, Barcode Printing, Enterprise Mobility or Hardware Solutions industry
  • Proven hands-on experience working with barcode printers, label printers, scanners, rugged devices, or enterprise hardware
  • Experience working with brands such as: Zebra Technologies, Honeywell International, Toshiba Tec, Newland AIDC
  • Previous experience in hardware diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
  • Experience providing technical support to customers and internal teams
  • Understanding of enterprise hardware deployment environments
