We are currently looking for a Repair Technician to do various repairs on Rugged smart devices. The job entails troubleshooting various devices with assessments and compiling of fault reports and quotations. Micro soldering and reading of diagrams will be advantageous to this position.

This position is located in Gauteng and is a Permanent employment offer.

BASIC DUTIES

Perform routine assessments, troubleshooting and repairing of devices.
Adhere to the standards of the industry and the company
Turnaround of devices within the repair centre be within the desired time frame prescribed by the company.
Disassemble and reassemble devices.
Refurbish units
Clean devices accordingly to prescribed guidelines.
Accurately document repairs and parts information on repair ticketing system.
Read and translate repair documents
Perform high quality repairs and refurbishment of electronic devices.
Monitor parts inventories and inform management of status.
Keeps the work area clean and tidy.
Carry out fault diagnostics to improve the quality of devices.
Reach daily targets and work to set deadlines.
Weekly and monthly reporting.
General admin duties including quotations, invoicing, fault reports, parts re-order list, courier, booking devices in and out.
Resorting software on devices and escalating to the development department where required.
Managing of repair stock
Customer service, answering emails and phone calls with regards to customer queries.

MINIMUM SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Matric.
Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent.
Diploma/Certificate in Cell Phone repairs will be an advantage.
Valid Code B drivers license and own transport.
Passed Criminal checks.
SA Citizen
Related Experience: 5 years work experience, 2 year Cell Phone / Electronics repair experience.
